Rachelle’s Story

Raychelle’s goal was to get her psychology degree and become a forensic psychologist. But, as a 20-year-old undergraduate student with a 5-month old, finances were tight — she was behind on her tuition fees, in need of childcare, and did not have a laptop for her school work.

With the help of our donors, Raychelle was able to approach her studies with a clear mind. She took her core classes at her local community college, and loved every minute of it. Her nurse Lynette Livingston shared, “She beams with a ray of light when she speaks of the courses and the professors.”

Like many NFP participants, Raychelle knew that higher education would open up opportunities for herself and her family.
