Empowering Moms to Lead in Business

The Neil S. Hirsch Entrepreneurship Program for Moms

Discover how our program equips mothers with the skills and confidence to launch successful businesses, creating brighter futures for their families.

About Our Program

Our entrepreneurship program is designed specifically for mothers, offering comprehensive training in business fundamentals, financial literacy, and strategic planning. Participants engage in interactive workshops, receive mentorship from industry experts, and have the opportunity to network with other entrepreneurial moms.

Led by startup advisor and business coach, Kesia Hudson, the cohort engages in a six-week workshop learning about topics such as customer discovery, unique selling propositions, finance, business formation, and pitching.

The program culminates in a pitch session where participants present their business ideas to potential investors.

Our goal is to empower moms to become successful entrepreneurs, providing them with the tools and support needed to thrive in the business world and improve their families’ future.

The NFP moms showcased a variety of businesses, including baby toy apps, hair services, vending machines containing baby items, healthy juice brands, and more. Each mompreneur who took part in the event performed exceptionally well.

Lead, Friends Entrepreneurship Program

This course not only taught me so much valuable information that can be used across the board, it also provided a sense of camaraderie. It gave me something to look forward to every Friday. As a first-time mom, there isn’t much you get to do that doesn’t revolve around the baby. The knowledge I obtained from this class rid me of the ’mom guilt’ because I saw it as an investment in my and my child’s future. – Hayette Lopez Program Coordinator, Friends of NYC NFP; HDF Recipient & Past Program Participant
